Founded in 2015, Mur.Doc 104 is a 5-piece thrash metal band from Malta influenced by the Bay Area Movement of the 80s, citing bands like Exodus, Death Angel, Forbidden & Hirax as main influences.

Since their first show in 2018, Mur.Doc 104 were called in to play all major local metal events & festivals and have shared the stage with various international acts including Leprous, Game Over, Omnium Gatherum, Kryptos, Insulter & Doomas amongst others. Being very active on the Maltese live circuit, the band has established itself as one of the main proponents of Thrash Metal from the island.

Their Debut EP, titled “The Undying’’, was released independently in early 2023 as a limited edition digipak, followed by worldwide distribution through all major streaming platforms. The EP received overwhelmingly positive reviews across the globe from both established and independent news outlets.

The EP was preceded by a single titled Insolenza that was released in peak COVID pandemic as an ode to the dour times their home country was going through and the inconsistencies witnessed by the common people. They later re-released an English version of the song (titled "Reign of the Dead") for their international fans.

Now with four editions under their belt, the band has taken it upon itself to promote European Thrash Metal to local crowds by setting up a yearly event titled "The Living Thrash", inviting some of the best up and coming bands from the mainland supported by young local talent with the intention of strengthening the bonds beyond local shores. Past editions have seen performances by Adversor (IT), Riffobia (GR), Burning Nitrum (IT), Electrikeel (ES) and Sublind (LU). The event is covered by major local news outlets such as Times of Malta, Lovin Malta and Melodija.eu.

Mur.Doc 104 is currently in the studio recording their debut full-length album. Packed with 10 tracks of relentless aggression, the album (title TBC) is planned for release later in 2026.

Following its original inception, the band experienced some changes until it settled with its current lineup in 2022.
